Mode Of Action

Epinephrine, an active principle of the adrenal medulla, is a direct-acting sympathomimetic. It stimulates alpha- and beta-adrenergic receptors resulting in relaxation of smooth muscle of the bronchial tree, cardiac stimulation and dilation of skeletal muscle vasculature.
