What is LINK

LINk is a prescription medication containing the active ingredient Tadalafil, a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor. It is commonly used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)pulmonary arterial hypertension under different branding. Each LINk tablet helps to improve blood flow by relaxing the smooth muscle in blood vessels, particularly in the penis and prostate region.

How to use LINK

The use of LINk tablets depends on the indication and the patient’s overall health. Always take it exactly as prescribed by a healthcare professional.

• For ED (on-demand): Take 10–20 mg at least 30 minutes before sexual activity. Effect may last up to 36 hours.
• For ED (daily use): Take 2.5–5 mg once daily at the same time each day, regardless of sexual activity.
• For BPH: Typically 5 mg once daily
• Administration: Swallow the tablet whole with water. It can be taken with or without food.

Do not exceed one dose per day. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible unless it is almost time for the next dose.

Mode of Action LINK

Tadalafil works by inhibiting the enzyme phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5), which breaks down cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP). cGMP is responsible for relaxing smooth muscles and promoting increased blood flow.

• Effect in ED: Enhances the natural erectile response to sexual stimulation by increasing blood flow to the penis.
• Effect in BPH: Relaxes the muscles in the prostate and bladder, improving urinary symptoms.
• Onset: Within 30–60 minutes
• Duration: Up to 36 hours for erectile function improvement

Tadalafil does not cause erections on its own; sexual arousal is required for it to be effective.

LINK Interactions LINK

Tadalafil may interact with several medications and substances. Some interactions can cause severe drops in blood pressure or increase the risk of side effects.

• Nitrates: Contraindicated due to risk of severe hypotension (e.g., nitroglycerin, isosorbide)
• Alpha-blockers: May enhance blood pressure-lowering effects
• Antihypertensives: Monitor blood pressure carefully
• Ritonavir, ketoconazole: May increase Tadalafil plasma concentration
• Alcohol: Excessive consumption may increase side effects such as dizziness or headache

Always inform your healthcare provider of all the medications and supplements you’re using before starting LINk.

Dosage of LINK

The appropriate dosage of LINk depends on the individual’s health status, the condition being treated, and the intended use (daily or as-needed).

• Erectile Dysfunction (as-needed): 10–20 mg prior to sexual activity
• Erectile Dysfunction (daily): 2.5–5 mg once daily
• Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia: 5 mg once daily
• Combined ED + BPH: 5 mg once daily

Patients with liver or kidney impairment or those on interacting medications may require dose adjustments. Never exceed the prescribed dose.

Possible side effects of LINK

Most side effects of Tadalafil are mild and short-lived, but some may require medical attention.

• Common: Headache, indigestion, back pain, muscle aches, flushing, nasal congestion
• Uncommon: Blurred vision, dizziness, rash
• Rare but Serious: Priapism (prolonged erection), sudden hearing loss, chest pain, severe allergic reactions

Seek medical help immediately if you experience chest pain during sexual activity or an erection lasting longer than 4 hours.

LINK Contraindications LINK

LINk should not be used in patients with the following conditions:

• Hypersensitivity to Tadalafil or any of the excipients
• Concurrent use of nitrates or nitric oxide donors
• Severe cardiac conditions (e.g., unstable angina, recent heart attack)
• Severe liver or kidney impairment
• History of stroke within the past 6 months

Consult your doctor before use, especially if you have cardiovascular risk factors or other serious medical conditions.

Storage of LINK

• Store in a dry place at temperatures below 30°C (86°F)
• Keep the tablets in their original blister until use
• Protect from light and moisture
• Keep out of reach of children

Do not use LINk beyond its expiration date. If any tablets appear discolored or damaged, do not consume them.
